The Asia/Oceania Final Juniors Davis Cup qualification has ended in the national tennis center Beeline Arena in Shymkent, Turanews.kz reports citing the Press Service of Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.
Kazakhstan young team defeated the Thai national team with a score of 2:0.
In the opening game, Zangar Nurlanuly won a victory with a score of 7:5, 6:0. In the first game, the Kazakhstani lost with a score of 2:5, but was able to turn the tide and reached the victory. The next on the court was Amir Omarkhanov, who defeated the opponent in 20 minutes – 6:0, 1:0. At the beginning of the second game, the opponent refused to continue the fight.
Recall that the Kazakhstan national team won three victories in three games at the group stage of the selection, defeated the six-time champions of the junior Davis Cup team of Australia in the quarterfinals, lost to South Korea in the semifinals and eventually won the bronze medal, defeating Thailand in the match for 3rd place.
