Kazakhstan Introduces New Investor Visa to Attract Global Capital

Kazakhstan is taking another major step toward welcoming international investors by launching a new investor visa program.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, foreign nationals who invest at least $300,000 into the charter capital of a Kazakhstani company or purchase local securities will now be eligible to apply for an investor visa through an electronic application system. This “golden visa” allows investors the opportunity to obtain a residence permit for up to 10 years.

Such visa schemes have proven successful in countries like the US, UAE, Singapore, and across Europe, serving as effective tools for attracting capital, technology, and international business. Kazakhstan’s version reflects a tailored approach to investment residency that balances global best practices with national interests.

The introduction of golden visas is expected to enhance Kazakhstan’s investment environment by providing legal security and increasing investor confidence. This move aligns with the country’s broader strategy of economic openness, capital protection, and long-term international partnerships.

The new regulation will come into effect 10 days after its official publication. Full text of the document: https://zan.gov.kz/client/#!/doc/209576/rus
