The Ministry of Transport in the Republic of Kazakhstan has taken a significant step by allocating humanitarian aid worth 310 million tenge (nearly 500k usd) to Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, TuraNews.kz reports the Kazinform agency.
According to information of the Open Budget portal, this year, Kazakhstan has dispatched a diverse range of aid, including 5000 tons of wheat flour, 61.86 tons of sunflower oil, 143.58 tons of canned meat, 240 tons of pasta, 507.70 tons of rice, and 92.50 tons of expeditionary equipment to Tajikistan. Additionally, the Ministry of Transport extended support to Tajikistan in August by offering 10 units of rotational container support.
For Afghanistan, the aid included 35.42 tons of medicines and 21.24 tons of combined cargo. Furthermore, the Kyrgyz Republic received 1000 tons of spring wheat seeds.
Resolution No. 1052, issued on December 23, reported a total of 380,055 tons of humanitarian aid delivered to Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
It’s worth noting that the budget program outlines a total aid amount of 310 million 341.9 thousand tenge to the three countries. Of this, 216,063 thousand tenge is designated for Afghanistan, 16,936 thousand tenge for Kyrgyzstan, and 77,342.8 thousand tenge for Tajikistan. This humanitarian initiative reflects Kazakhstan’s commitment to providing essential support to its neighboring nations in times of need.
