28 citizens of Kazakhstan have been successfully evacuated from the Gaza Strip. Acting on the directive of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Health, and the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development “KazAID,” facilitated the evacuation, TuraNews.kz reports.
A special airlift was organized to transport both humanitarian aid and the evacuated individuals. The same aircraft carried 28 citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and their family members back to their home country from the Gaza Strip. Following the completion of all mandatory procedures, the evacuated Kazakh citizens will receive necessary legal, medical, and other assistance. Notably, this marks the second evacuation, with the first group of 99 people safely brought back on November 17 of this year.
The humanitarian aid dispatched to the Palestinian people, weighing over 38 tons, includes essential supplies such as food, bedding, medicines, and medical products. This aid has been generously donated to the Egyptian Red Crescent, which, in collaboration with the UN Relief and Work Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East and Egyptian authorities, will facilitate the distribution of Kazakh assistance to Palestinians in need.
Kazakhstan, currently holding the chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, has extended additional humanitarian support to Palestine, a fellow member of this organization. The gesture reflects Kazakhstan’s commitment to fostering cooperation and providing assistance to nations facing challenging circumstances.
