Kazakhstan-China Business Forum held in Shenzhen

A large-scale Kazakh-Chinese business forum was held in Shenzhen, China on August 14, 2023. The event was attended by over 200 businessmen from Shenzhen, the largest economic and industrial center of the PRC, Turanews.kz reports.

The forum was organized by the Kazakhstan-China Trade Promotion Association and the Zshenzhen Cross Supply Service Association. It aimed to promote investment opportunities in Kazakhstan to potential Chinese investors.

At the opening of the forum, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin spoke about the close and friendly relations between the two countries. He said that the heads of both states pay special attention to the further development of their comprehensive cooperation.

Zhumangarin also outlined three main areas for investment in Kazakhstan: logistics, deep processing of products, and agriculture.

He said that Kazakhstan is creating a network of border trade and economic hubs, logistics centers, and special economic and industrial zones to attract investors. He also mentioned that the government has recently introduced an investment tax credit to reduce the burden on investors in the initial period of their activity.
