Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Open New Flight Path

Over 30 airlines plan to use this shorter route for daily flights.

Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have launched a new flight route, TuraNew.kz reports citing 24KZ.

Over 30 airlines plan to use this shorter route for daily flights. The Ministry of Transport says the new corridor will save 30 to 50 tons of fuel each year. It is also expected to reduce oxygen use by 50 to 70 tons and cut harmful carbon dioxide emissions by 250 tons annually.

Since the start of 2024, Kazakh airlines have transported nearly 5.5 million passengers, which is a 17% increase from last year. To improve transport access, 19 domestic air routes across 9 regions are being subsidized.
