Kazakhstan and United Nations to sign projects in agriculture. This was announced by Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Investment Promotion of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Iskander Mukhlisov during a regional seminar on the activities of FAO in Azerbaijan, Turanews.kz reports.

According to Mukhlisov, the joint projects are aimed at reducing food losses and food waste in the countries of Central Asia, Azerbaijan and Türkiye, as well as improving the efficiency of raising small cattle in order to reduce the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions.

“The implementation of the projects will have a positive multiplier effect, on the one hand, to use pasture resources more optimally and efficiently, to develop a forage base, to get a higher quality gain. And on the other hand, it will increase employment of the rural population, stable tax receipts, the creation of new family-type farms and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions,” Mukhlisov said, noting that that all these goals and objectives are also reflected in the National Agricultural Development Project for 2021-2025.
