Kazakhstan and Tajikistan Presidents hold meeting in Dushanbe

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting in Dushanbe on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues, Turanews.kz reports.

Tokayev thanked Rahmon for his warm hospitality and said that the two countries have a traditionally close relationship. The leaders discussed the state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, as well as the progress in implementing agreements previously reached at the highest level. Particular attention was paid to interaction in the trade, economic, transport and logistics, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Tokayev and Rahmon confirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. They also reviewed current issues on the regional agenda.

The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, and the two presidents expressed their satisfaction with the results of the talks.
