On the sidelines of the Summit “Central Asia + Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf”, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan met with President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan, Turanews.kz reports.
The two leaders discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during Rahmon’s state visit to Kazakhstan in May. They also discussed ways to further expand trade and economic cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues and discussed the schedule of upcoming meetings.
Tokayev and Rahmon stressed the importance of the high-level political dialogue between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan and expressed their commitment to further strengthening the bilateral relationship.
The meeting took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.
