The Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aida Balaeva, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Hungary to Kazakhstan, Otto Ivan Rona. During the meeting, the friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Hungary, particularly within the framework of the Turkic States Organization, were emphasized, TuraNews.kz reports citing the ministry’s press service.
Aida Balaeva highlighted that the ministry plays a key role in state regulation concerning information, religion, building an effective model of state-civil society interaction, implementing state youth, family, and gender policies, interethnic harmony, culture, and archival affairs.
“There is active interaction between our countries in the fields of culture, information, and youth policy. Another direction that we, at the behest of the Head of State, pay special attention to is the creative industry. We would like to cooperate with you in this direction as well,” emphasized the minister.
In turn, Otto Ivan Rona sought assistance in organizing a series of significant cultural events to be held during Hungary’s presidency of the European Union Council.
Specifically, Hungary plans to arrange a tour of the Hungarian Opera House and conduct a Film Week in Kazakhstan, showcasing Kazakh-Hungarian films.
The parties also exchanged views on the prospects for further collaboration.
