Kazakhstan and China will introduce a mutual visa-free regime

Kazakhstan and China are planning to introduce a visa-free regime for their citizens in both directions. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Kazakhstan has published a draft on issue, Turanews.kz reports.

According to the document, Kazakhstanis will be able to stay without a visa in China and same for Chinese citizens in Kazakhstan for no more than 30 days from the moment of crossing the border and 90 days for a 180-day period.

If citizens of the state of one of the parties intend to stay in the territory of the state of the other party for longer than the prescribed period, they must apply for an appropriate visa before entering the territory of the state.

Valid travel documents for Kazakhstanis will be:

– passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
– certificate of return to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

For Chinese citizens:

– semi-service passport of a citizen of China;
– Passport of a citizen of the People’s Republic of China;
– temporary travel document.

The corresponding documents will be signed by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu and Foreign Minister of China Qin Gang.
