Kazakhstan and Albania Hold First Political Consultations in Tirana
Kazakhstan and Albania held their first round of political consultations in Tirana, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Roman Vassilenko and Albanian Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Endrit Yzeiraj.

The meeting focused on strengthening political dialogue, trade, and investment ties. Both sides noted the positive momentum in relations, driven by Albanian President Bajram Begaj’s historic visit to Kazakhstan in 2023 and the opening of Kazakhstan’s Embassy in Tirana in 2024.
Kazakhstan sees Albania as a key partner in the Balkans and emphasized the need to expand legal agreements and cooperation between investment agencies. The Kazakh side proposed establishing an Intergovernmental Commission and a Business Council to boost economic collaboration.
Discussions also covered global and regional issues, cooperation within the UN and OSCE, and preparations for Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama’s visit to Kazakhstan in May for the Astana International Forum.
Both sides agreed on a roadmap for future contacts and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations.
