Kazakhstan Ambassador Presents Credentials to North Macedonian President

On June 17, Satybaldy Burshakov, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to North Macedonia, presented his credentials to Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, the President of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Ambassador Burshakov conveyed congratulations and best wishes from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Siljanovska-Davkova’s recent election as head of state.

In his address, the Ambassador expressed Kazakhstan’s readiness to enhance political, trade, and economic partnerships, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties. He outlined plans for the new Kazakh Embassy in Skopje and introduced North Macedonian leaders to the democratic reforms and new economic policies being implemented under President Tokayev, aimed at modernizing Kazakh society and the state. He also discussed Kazakhstan’s foreign policy priorities, including its strategic partnership with the European Union and major upcoming international events in Kazakhstan.

President Siljanovska-Davkova, the first female president in North Macedonia’s history, welcomed Ambassador Burshakov and expressed her interest in fostering cooperation with Astana on both bilateral and multilateral levels. She emphasized the importance of developing economic relations, increasing mutual trade, and enhancing cooperation in culture, education, healthcare, and tourism. She also requested that her greetings and gratitude be conveyed to President Tokayev.

In a separate conversation following the ceremony, President Siljanovska-Davkova supported the Ambassador’s proposal to hold events in 2025 to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. She also expressed interest in organizing high-level mutual visits and noted the significant potential for cooperation with North Macedonia’s new government.
