Kazakhstan allocates nearly 500 educational grants to ethnic Kazakhs and foreigners
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan has announced that it will award 88,204 scholarships in 2023-2024. Of these, 73,061 scholarships will be for bachelor’s degrees, and 15,143 scholarships will be for master’s degrees, Turanews.kz reports.
The scholarships will be awarded in a variety of fields, including pedagogy, humanities, social sciences, business, engineering, agriculture, and veterinary medicine. There will also be scholarships for students who are interested in pursuing dual degrees or who want to study at branch campuses of Kazakh universities abroad.
The application process for the scholarships will open in early 2023. Applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria, including having a high school diploma or equivalent and passing the Unified National Testing (UNT) exam.
Kazakhstan also has allocated 490 scholarships to foreign citizens, including ethnic Kazakhs who lives abroad. There are also 100 grants in reserve, and 45 grants have been allocated for education at the “Voshod” branch of the “Moscow Aviation Institute”.
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education is encouraging all eligible students to apply for the scholarships. The scholarships offer a valuable opportunity to pursue a higher education and to contribute to the development of Kazakhstan.
