In a remarkable display of skill at the World Rapid Championship in Samarkand, 15-year-old chess sensation Ernur Amangeldy from Kazakhstan (rating 2012) faced off against the formidable Russian grandmaster Ian Nepomniachtchi (rating 2778) in the event’s second round, TuraNews.kz reports.
Amangeldy, playing as black, managed to secure a draw in the thrilling encounter.
