Kazakh President Tokayev speaks with Turkish President Erdogan

The presidents of Kazakhstan and Türkiye, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, spoke by phone to exchange congratulations on the occasion of the Kurban Ait holiday, Turanews.kz reports.

During the conversation, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the bilateral strategic partnership in the trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian spheres.

They also discussed the effective implementation of the agreements reached during last year’s state visits of the President of Kazakhstan to Ankara and the President of Türkiye to Astana. In particular, they agreed to work together to increase trade and investment flows between the two countries, and to promote cooperation in the fields of education, culture, and tourism.

The two leaders also exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda, including the situation in Ukraine and Afghanistan. They stressed the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region, and of working together to address common challenges.

The phone call was a further indication of the strong and close relationship between Kazakhstan and Türkiye. The two countries have a long history of cooperation, and they are committed to working together to achieve common goals.
