Kazakh Footballer Abat Aimbetov Set to Join Turkish Club Adana Demirspor

Kazakhstan national team striker Abat Aimbetov is poised to join the ranks of Turkish club Adana Demirspor.

In a notable transfer move comes as part of a strategic decision to replace Senegalese forward M’Bai Niang, who faced conflicts with the coach and management of Adana Demirspor.

The 28-year-old Aimbetov has a track record of successful performances, having scored eight goals in 16 Turkish league matches, including four from penalty kicks. The decision to bring in Aimbetov is seen as a resolution to the discord between Niang and the club, leading to the Senegalese forward being transferred to the Italian club Empoli for a reported fee of 200 thousand euros.

Niang, known for his versatility and having played for renowned clubs such as Milan, Montpellier, Watford, Torino, Bordeaux, and others, is set to embark on a new chapter in his career with Empoli.

As for Aimbetov, the 31st of January saw him fly from Kazakhstan to Turkey for a medical examination and contract signing with Adana Demirspor. The official announcement of his transfer is anticipated in the coming days, marking a significant move in the football career of the Kazakh striker.
