Kassym-Jomart Tokayev Holds Talks with Nataša Pirc Musar in a Closed Format
A formal welcoming ceremony for Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar, who arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit, was held at the Akorda residence. The two presidents introduced their respective delegations before the head of the honor guard unit presented a welcoming report. The event was accompanied by the national anthems of Kazakhstan and Slovenia.

Following the ceremony, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Nataša Pirc Musar proceeded to hold closed-door talks.
Welcoming the distinguished guest, President Tokayev emphasized that her visit opens new prospects for deepening and expanding Kazakh-Slovenian partnership.
— We are committed to fostering closer cooperation with your country, and as President, I will do everything possible to strengthen ties in all areas of mutual interest. We consider Slovenia one of Kazakhstan’s key and valued partners in the Balkans. We have several promising projects to offer to both Slovenian businesses and the government, — he stated.
Tokayev noted that Slovenia’s direct investment in Kazakhstan has reached nearly $200 million. Currently, 19 Slovenian companies operate successfully in Kazakhstan in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, engineering, telecommunications, and renewable energy. He also highlighted significant opportunities for cooperation in transport, logistics, digitalization, innovation, healthcare, and tourism.
In response, President Pirc Musar expressed her gratitude to Tokayev for the warm welcome extended to her and her delegation.
— Over the 33 years of diplomatic relations between our countries, there has never been an unresolved issue. As you rightly pointed out, this provides a solid foundation for expanding and deepening economic cooperation. That is why I have brought a large business delegation with me. They have already begun discussions with their Kazakh counterparts on promising partnership opportunities. Economic exchange is growing, but I believe we can achieve even more. Political leaders must open doors for businesses, and high-level meetings like this one are an important step forward, — she stated.
During the discussions, the two leaders also exchanged views on a broad range of global and regional issues.
