"I aim to contribute to Turkish football," stated the head coach of the Istanbul club

Fenerbahce, the esteemed Istanbul club, has formally inked a contract with renowned Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho.

The contract signing ceremony, held at Ulker Stadium, was a spectacle open to fans. Approximately 30 thousand Fenerbahce fans, who eagerly filled the stands two hours before the commencement of the event, showered Jose Mourinho with prolonged applause.

Taking to the grand stage set upon the pitch alongside club president Ali Koç, Mourinho graciously acknowledged the adoration from the stands prior to the signing ceremony.

Mourinho expressed gratitude for the fervent support from the fans and reciprocated their affection.

Reflecting on his association with Fenerbahce, Mourinho shared, “Typically, coaches receive such love after a victory. But I feel it even prior to that, and this places a great responsibility on me. I promise you that from now on I belong to your family, this jersey will be like skin and bones to me. Football is a passion for you, for us. I believe I am in one of the best places where I can feel that passion.”

Additionally, Mourinho revealed that after his meeting with Fenerbahce club president Ali Koç, he was compelled to join for the sake of the devoted fans: “You are a very large group of fans. I say this from the bottom of my heart, I wanted to be here because of your passion. I want to work for the benefit of Turkish football, to elevate the Turkish league. But the most important thing is the development of Turkish football and the Turkish Super League.”
