Aldiyar Sheikh who is an entrepreneur from Almaty cith has shared what he’d been thorugh after the events in January. 11 months ago, the businessman was sure that he would face bankruptcy because Aldiyar’s s in shop in the mall was completely robbed and ruined by the robbers. However, the businessman had a big suprise and happiness when the compensation has paid by government agencies promptly and in full.
“Everything was destroyed in the store. The things that we lost during the incident, they cost a fortune for a small business like ours. After the events a special working group which was created on the order of the President to anaylze the damage, they came to us and noted all the losses. The documentation’s process has carried out urgently and then we received the the compensation.
To be honest, I did not expect at all that the compensation would be given in full and so quickly. If our losses were not paid on time, we would have gone bankrupt.” said the businessman.

According to the latest data, the state has already paid compensation in full to the amount of 14.6 billion tenge (appx 32million USD) to business entities affected during the Kantara events. On behalf of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, small and medium-sized businesses received support. In total, almost 1,600 applications are already approved.
