Iranian President’s Helicopter Makes Hard Landing Near Iran-Azerbaijan Border

A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian made a hard landing near the Iran-Azerbaijan border in East Azerbaijan province. The rescue operation is being hindered by severe weather conditions, including heavy fog and challenging terrain.

According to an IRNA correspondent, rescue teams were dispatched to the scene about an hour after being informed of the incident. Sixteen rescue teams are currently trying to reach the aircraft despite the difficult conditions.

Efforts are ongoing to locate and assist the passengers and crew involved in the crash.
