Iran Strikes Israel with Hundreds of Missiles and Drones

On Sunday night, Iran launched a massive drone and cruise missile attack on Israel.

Iran launched a sweeping attack on Israeli territory during the late hours of Sunday night, deploying hundreds of drones and missiles in what experts are describing as a highly coordinated assault. Despite the intensity of the attack, there have been no reports of fatalities within Israel as of yet.

According to estimates from Western media sources, the onslaught involved a staggering 400 to 500 unmanned aerial vehicles along with approximately 150 missiles. Reports suggest that the drones were launched from Iran’s western provinces, while additional UAVs were dispatched from Yemen by the Houthis and from Lebanon by Hezbollah militants.

Arab media outlets have indicated that Iran employed Shahed-238 drones in the attack, coupled with the launch of ballistic missiles. Allegedly, the targets of these strikes were exclusively Israeli military installations.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have asserted that their defensive capabilities successfully intercepted 99% of the incoming missiles and drones, thereby mitigating the impact of the assault. IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari noted that the attack resulted in “minimal damage” to one of the army bases located in the Negev Desert in southern Israel.
