Iran launched missiles at Israel

On Tuesday evening, Iran launched around 200 missiles towards Israel, drawing attention on social media, where users shared videos of missiles flying through Jordan.

Iranian authorities stated that the targets of the attacks were solely Israeli military sites, emphasizing that they do not seek to start a large-scale conflict. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that the attack was in retaliation for the deaths of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

Tehran also warned that if Israel responds, there will be a destructive counterattack.

Israeli forces, with the support of U.S. destroyers, were able to intercept and shoot down the Iranian missiles. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Tehran made a serious mistake by attacking Israel and will be held accountable.

In response to Iran’s actions, Israeli forces launched strikes on Hezbollah targets in Beirut.
