The decision, announced by the Iranian diplomatic mission in Tashkent, permits Uzbek nationals to visit Iran for up to 15 days within a six-month period without the requirement of obtaining a tourist visa.
This new regulation exclusively pertains to tourist visas, while the visa requirements for other categories remain unchanged.
It is noteworthy that this relaxation of visa requirements aligns with Iran’s efforts to enhance tourism and strengthen ties with Uzbekistan. Additionally, it mirrors a similar initiative by the United Arab Emirates, which recently abolished visa requirements for Uzbek citizens for stays of up to 30 days, effective from February 16th.
