According to the National Statistics Committee, these companies earned a combined profit of 78 billion soms (approximately 909 million USD). Compared to 2022, the share of profitable foreign-invested companies grew by 0.9 percentage points, with profits increasing by 16.2 billion soms (188.8 million USD).
Meanwhile, unprofitable companies made up 33.2 percent of all foreign-invested enterprises, with a total loss amounting to 36.9 billion soms (430 million USD).
By the end of 2023, most regions in Kyrgyzstan, except for Naryn, Issyk-Kul, and Batken, recorded positive financial results for companies with foreign capital.
The data also shows that Kyrgyzstan hosted 4,264 enterprises with foreign investment in 2023, 72 percent of which were fully foreign-owned. Since 2019, the number of these enterprises has grown by 22.7 percent, with a 21.3 percent increase compared to 2022.
