In Türkiye, Men Outspend Women on Beauty and Grooming
Men in Türkiye are becoming increasingly interested in personal grooming, surpassing women in spending on beauty salons.
Şükrü Bilgin, chairman of the İzmir Barbers Association, noted that Turkish men are now actively using beauty salon services, TuraNews.kz reports.
Turkish men frequently seek treatments such as manicures, pedicures, eyebrow shaping, and even eyelash care. Bilgin pointed out that men now regularly visit barbershops and beauty salons, opting for procedures that were once considered exclusively for women.
In some cases, men are even spending more on these treatments than women. Some have even started taking care of their eyelashes on their own, he added.
“Nowadays, men visit beauty salons more often than women. Although many new services have been introduced for women in recent years, their habits have remained the same. Meanwhile, men in Türkiye have actively embraced self-care,” Bilgin stated.
He also noted that due to the increasing variety of services, traditional barbershops are no longer in as high demand as before.
