On July 17, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Jydyr Duzu region, Trend news agency reports.
During the visit, a presentation of Karabakh horses — a symbol of Azerbaijani heritage — was held. As a gesture of friendship, President Aliyev presented a Karabakh horse named “Dostlug” (meaning “Friendship”) to Berdimuhamedov.
The symbolic gift highlights the deepening cultural and diplomatic ties between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
