II Congress on the History of Turkic Statehood Dedicated to the 800th Anniversary of Jochi

The II Congress on the History of Turkic Statehood, held in honor of the 800th anniversary of Jochi, gathered leading scholars and diplomats from Turkic nations.

The event was organized by the Turkic Academy and the Research Institute for the Study of the Ulus of Jochi of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Kazakhstan. Participants from various countries, including Mongolia, Korea, Russia, the USA, and others, discussed the contributions of Jochi and the era of Genghis Khan to the political history of Turkic peoples.

The President of the Turkic Academy, Shahin Mustafayev, emphasized that such events strengthen academic cooperation and help prevent the distortion of historical facts, which can lead to conflicts between Turkic nations.

The main topic of the congress was the impact of Genghis Khan on the development of Turkic states. At the conclusion of the congress, a joint declaration was adopted, stressing the importance of continuing collaborative research in history, archaeology, and Turkology.
