Humanitarian Aid from Uzbekistan Arrives in Kyrgyzstan
On July 16, humanitarian aid from Uzbekistan's Andijan region arrived in Osh and the surrounding Osh region to assist those affected by recent mudslides and floods.
According to the Osh City Hall press service, 13 trucks delivered 200 tons of supplies, including construction materials, clothing, hygiene products, and food. Nine of the trucks were designated for Osh city, while the remaining four were directed to the impacted villages.
The aid was accompanied by a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Shayatbek Abdurakhmanov, the Governor of the Andijan region. The delegation was welcomed by Bakytbek Zhetigenov, the Mayor of Osh, Elchibek Dzhantaev, the presidential envoy to the Osh region, representatives from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Osh, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
