House of Crocus Attack Defendant Sealed in Tajikistan

In Tajikistan, the residence of Shamsidin Fariduni's family, implicated in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, has been sealed, as reported by RIA Novosti.

Situated in the village of Loyobi near Gissar city, the house is now under police watch, RIA Novosti specifies. A neighbor revealed to a correspondent that family members of the accused were taken away by individuals in uniform the previous day.

The assault on Crocus City Hall occurred on the evening of March 22, wherein armed assailants stormed the venue, firing upon attendees, igniting the premises, and then fleeing. The heinous act resulted in the tragic loss of 139 lives and left over 180 individuals injured.

Reports from Reuters and RIA Novosti on March 26, citing Tajik security service sources, indicated that investigative actions commenced in Dushanbe involving relatives of the accused in the concert hall attack. According to Reuters’ sources, Russian investigators traveled to Tajikistan for this purpose.

Relatives of the accused were transported to the Tajik capital from Vakhdat, Gissar, and the Rudaki region, responding to a request from the Russian authorities, the agency further elaborates.
