
During the event, an algorithm of actions to address the situation in global markets resulting from tariff conflicts was discussed.
Reports were heard from Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, Chairman of the National Bank Timur Suleimenov, and other officials from relevant authorities.
The President noted that the current global economic situation is unstable and requires readiness for any development scenarios.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev outlined the main directions of the upcoming work.
“The government’s task is to prevent a decline in the population’s well-being, economic growth rates, and the volume of attracted investments,” said the Head of State.
The President also emphasized that crisis situations in the world always present both challenges and create new opportunities for development.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev identified specific strategic directions capable of strengthening the country’s economic, transport and logistics, and human potential.
It was emphasized that plans for major infrastructure projects and digitalization should remain among the key directions of Kazakhstan’s economic policy.
“We must fulfill the main social obligations to the population and continue the implementation of important infrastructure projects,” said the President.
Special attention was paid to improving approaches in the implementation of monetary policy and ensuring the financial stability of the state.
Following the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave a number of specific instructions to state bodies.
