Hasanboy Dusmatov Becomes Uzbekistan’s First Two-Time Olympic Boxing Champion

Uzbek boxer Hasanboy Dusmatov has made history by becoming the first two-time Olympic boxing champion from Uzbekistan.

Dusmatov secured his second Olympic gold medal by defeating his French opponent in the final match of the 2024 Olympics. This victory marks a significant milestone for Uzbekistan, as Dusmatov is now the first boxer from the country to achieve two Olympic gold medals.

Known as the “Professor,” Dusmatov first claimed Olympic glory in 2016, winning the gold medal in the 51 kg weight category. His exceptional skills and determination have cemented his place as a prominent figure in the world of boxing.

Earlier, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan reviewed the results of the thirteenth day of the 2024 Olympics, highlighting Dusmatov’s remarkable achievement.
