Gold Prices Reach Record High

Gold prices have hit a new record, surpassing $3,100 per ounce.

On Monday, gold reached $3,106.50 per ounce, marking an all-time high. Analysts attribute this surge to geopolitical uncertainties and fears of a potential economic downturn.

Since the beginning of the year, gold prices have risen by more than 18%. Earlier in March, prices exceeded the $3,000 mark for the first time, prompting major banks to revise their forecasts upward.

Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and UBS have all raised their gold price targets. Goldman Sachs now expects prices to reach $3,300 by the end of the year. Bank of America forecasts $3,063 for 2025 and $3,350 for 2026.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to announce a new round of tariffs on April 2, according to Reuters.
