In the statement made by the Kyrgyz Antimonopoly Regulatory Service, the average price of AI-92 fuel in January this year decreased by 1.2 soms compared to the same period last year. But the average retail price of diesel fuel, on the contrary, increased from 58.8 to 74.1 soms (from 0,70 to 0,86 USD) within a year.
However, according to the country’s media, the experts predict that fuel prices will not decrease by more than 1.5-2 soms. Because Russia has the monopoly on the fuel supply to Kyrgyzstan and the prices mostly depends on majos events in the fuel market.
