Former Kyrgyz Minister of Natural Resources and Son Sentenced to 8 Years in Prison

Dinara Kutmanova, the former Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan, and her son, Kemelbek Kutmanov, have been sentenced to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property

According to the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek, Dinara Kutmanova was found guilty under the article of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic “Abuse of official position”. She was sentenced to eight years in prison with confiscation of property and banned from holding public office for a period of three years.

Her son, Kemelbek Kutmanov, was sentenced to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property for fraud on an especially large scale and banned from engaging in individual entrepreneurial activity for a period of three years.
