In Kazakhstan more than 10 highways with national significance ared damaged by floods in Turkestan region of the country, Turanews.kz reports.
In particular, Shornak-Karnak (KH-58), Kentau-Ashchysai (KH-56), Kentau-Turkistan airport (KH-61), Shayan-Mynbulak (KH-3), Shayan-Agybet-Shakpak (KH-3) in Baidibek district. KH-5), Shayan – Sholakkorgan (KH-2), Sholakkorgan-Shayan (KH-2) in Sozak district, Shardara-Arys (KH-8) in Arys district, Zylga-Alimtau (KH-55) in Saryagash district, Abay in Keles district – Part of the highways of regional importance in Bozai (KH-94) and Bozai-Bekbota direction (KH-108) were washed away by water.
“Currently, the administration of passenger transport and highways of the Turkestan region and the MCC “Southern roads” have begun to restore the damaged roads, and the necessary materials are being delivered to the roads. “Recovery works are underway,” the regional passenger transport and highway administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan said in a statement.
