Five killed after flooding in earthquake-hit regions in Türkiye

Several people have been reported missing in the provinces of Adiyaman and Sanliurfa. Five people were killed and several more are missing after floods struck two provinces in Türkiye that were devastated by last month’s earthquakes.
Torrential rain caused floods in the Turkish province of Sanliurfa and Adiyaman, a hospital was flooded, classes were suspended in schools.
The Mayor of the Şanlıurfa municipality Zeynel Abidin Beyazgul, who connected to the Tvnet broadcast, said that “there are reports of missing persons, but we cannot confirm them for the time being.”
In addition, the Turkish agency AFAD reported floods in Sanliurfa, Adana, Bingol, Mersin and Gaziantep, where rescuers have already gone.
