Film “Alga” Wins Two Awards at Iranian Sports Film Festival
The 14th International Sports Film Festival in Iran has become a significant milestone for Kazakh cinema.
Director Yernar Nurgaliyev was honored with the award for “Best Directing,” while Yerik Zholzhaksynov received the accolade for “Best Supporting Actor,” TuraNews.kz reports .
“Alga” is a compelling story about resilience, brotherly love, and the pursuit of dreams, despite the challenges life throws in the way.
The film was produced with the support of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture and Information and the National Cinema Support Center. It was produced by Maksim Akbarov and directed by Yernar Nurgaliyev.
