Today FIFA President Gianni Infantino was received by the President of Kazakhstan Kasım-Jomart Tokayev at the Presidential Palace Akorda in the capital Astana, Turanews.kz reports.
In his words, Tokayev said that more than one million people systematically play football in Kazakhstan and that more than 7,000 children train in centers established in different parts of the country, “I find your visit extremely important for the development of Kazakhstan football. We intend to continue our good partnership with FIFA and you.” the Kazakh leader said.
Stating that he was in Kazakhstan for the first time as FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, “Kazakhstan has become a very important country not only at the regional level, but also on a global scale. It is a great partner for FIFA. We need to work together because football is the integration of society in this country and bringing people from other countries together. It offers great opportunities to get together.” he said.
Infantino emphasized that FIFA is ready to share its successful international experience and to assist in the development of football in Kazakhstan.
