“Fairy Bauyrsaq Day” celebrates Kazakh family values

Almaty, Kazakhstan – A new record was set for baursaq baking in Almaty on Saturday, as part of the city’s “Fairy Bauyrsaq Day” family holiday. Representatives of the Fairy brand decided to surpass the champions of the past year by baking 2047 kilograms of lush baursaks in five cauldrons. The feat was recognized by the Kazakh Book of Records, Turanews.kz reports.

The baursaq baking took place at the Central Park of Culture and Recreation in Almaty. More than forty cooks participated in the event, which was attended by thousands of people. The baursaks were baked in traditional Kazakh cauldrons over an open fire. Once baked, they were distributed to the attendees of the holiday.
