Fahrettin Altun: U.S. and Israeli Actions Against Iran Threaten Middle East Stability

Fahrettin Altun, Head of Türkiye’s Presidential Directorate of Communications, strongly criticized U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities and Washington’s backing of Israeli aggression. He warned that such actions endanger not peace, but instead pave the way for deeper chaos and instability across the Middle East.

According to Anadolu Agency, Altun called on the international community to reject such provocations and prioritize diplomacy over confrontation. He likened the current situation to past U.S. interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan, which he said fueled extremism and terrorism, and cautioned against repeating similar mistakes.

Altun stated that American military campaigns have reshaped Europe’s political landscape, intensified Islamophobia, and stirred anti-American sentiment in the East. He warned that if the U.S. continues supporting Israel’s unchecked military policies, efforts to achieve global peace would face serious setbacks.

Concluding his statement, Altun reaffirmed that under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s leadership, Türkiye remains committed to promoting dialogue between civilizations and fostering harmony between East and West, while contributing to regional and global stability.
