Expected inflation rate is between 16-18 percentage at the end of this year in Kazakhstan

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, expressed his concerns about the increase in inflation at the Government meeting, Kazinform reports.

While the Prime Minister instructed all responsible leaders to constantly monitor the work of price stabilization, “According to the results of past 8 months, all main indicators are increasing in Akmola, Karaganda, Kostanay regions and as well as in Shymkent city. All akimats (governors) should keep the growth rate of the regional economy under control. In addition, according to the results of datas in August annual inflation in the country has exceeded 16 percentage” said in his speech.

“Regional akimats should work along with goverment organs to stabilize the prices of food products which are important socially, also stimulate food production and supplement the domestic market,” said the Prime Minister.
