Erdogan to Discuss Ukraine Crisis with Putin on November 24

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that he plans to hold a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on November 24.

He made the statement during a press conference following the G20 Summit in South Africa.

Erdoğan noted that Türkiye continues to work toward reviving dialogue between Moscow and Kyiv and exploring paths toward peace.

“Mr. Zelensky was my guest this week. Tomorrow, I will speak with Mr. Putin by phone. Throughout our bilateral meetings at the G20 Summit, we discussed the situation in Ukraine in detail and examined what steps could be taken toward peace,” Erdoğan said.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the call is scheduled.

Earlier, Erdoğan and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met in Ankara, where the Turkish leader called for the resumption of peace talks in Istanbul.
