Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has given his approval to an agreement between Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, aimed at streamlining customs procedures for goods transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project. TuraNews.kz reports, citing Anadolu Agency.
The agreement, titled “On the Preliminary Exchange of Data to Facilitate Customs Transit Operations within the Framework of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Project,” was signed by the head of state and published in the Official Gazette (Resmi Gazete).
Signed on August 18, 2022, in Baku, the agreement seeks to simplify customs procedures for goods in transit along the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, traversing the territories of all three countries.
