Elevated Carbon Dioxide Levels Detected in Baku’s Air
The air quality in Baku has raised concerns as the concentration of carbon dioxide surpasses the permissible limit. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan released information indicating that the levels of carbon monoxide from pollutants in the air exceed the standard by 1.2 times on a daily basis, TuraNews.kz reports.
As reported by Trend on Sunday, the Ministry highlighted that the main contributors to the heightened carbon dioxide content are the vigorous transport activities, the operations of industrial enterprises, and other human-induced factors.
Authorities are expressing their concerns over the impact of these elevated levels on public health and the environment. The intensive nature of transport, coupled with the activities of industrial facilities, has been identified as the primary cause behind the surge in carbon dioxide levels, raising alarms about potential health risks.
