Kazakhstan may receive more than 1 Billion US Dollars from the Eurasian Development Bank for its projects next year. The projects with a total amount of US$2.4 billion are under consideration by the international financial institution, EDB Deputy Chairman Ruslan Dalenov said.
He added that, in particular, this concerns conversion of a thermal power plant from coal to gas in the city of Almaty, the construction of gas-fired power stations in Turkistan and the construction of wind farms in the Zhambyl and Kostanai regions.
In the next five years, the EDB plans to invest US$3.8 billion in Kazakhstan’s projects. This year, the bank has already put US$1.2 billion into the country’s economy. According to Dalenov, execution of Kazakhstan’s projects is almost 200 percent.
