Earthquake Strikes Border of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

An earthquake struck today on the border between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center.

The epicenter was 50 kilometers northeast of Bishkek, with a magnitude of 4.4.

The Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that tremors measuring 3.5 were felt in Bishkek. The earthquake occurred at 11:13 local time.

Preliminary reports indicate there are no casualties or damage.
