Earthquake shakes Talas region of Kyrgyzstan, no injuries reported

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 was registered in the Talas region of Kyrgyzstan on August 4 at 9:28 AM local time, according to the Institute of Seismology of the Kyrgyz Republic, Turanews.kz reports.

The tremors of the earthquake were felt in the villages of A. Ogombaeva and Kozuchak in the Talas region with a force of up to 2.0 points. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties or destructions as a result of the earthquake.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter of the earthquake was located about 10 kilometers north of the village of A. Ogombaeva.

The earthquake was felt in several other villages in the Talas region, but no damage or injuries have been reported.

The Institute of Seismology is monitoring the situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
