Earthquake Felt in Tashkent and Surrounding Regions

An earthquake was felt in Tashkent and various regions of Uzbekistan on Wednesday, June 19, at 17:09.

The tremors, which lasted several seconds, were experienced in Tashkent and the Namangan region.

The Republican Center for Seismic Forecasting Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the epicenter was in Kyrgyzstan, 170 km northeast of Tashkent, with a magnitude of 4.2 at a depth of 10 km.

Currently, the center reports the following tremor strengths in the Namangan region of Uzbekistan:

  • Yangikurgan district: 2-3 points, 43 km.
  • Kasansay district: 2 points, 53 km.
  • Chust district: 2 points, 59 km.

No data for Tashkent has been provided yet, but updates may follow. The tremors were noticeable in some areas and on certain floors.
