Early Pension Access for Kyrgyzstanis with Serious Illnesses

The Social Fund of Kyrgyzstan has reminded citizens that those facing serious illnesses are eligible to access their pension savings, specifically the funded portion of their pensions, ahead of schedule, TuraNews.kz report.

According to the Social Fund, individuals diagnosed with the following conditions qualify for this option:

  • Malignant neoplasms of stages II, III, IV, as per the international classification Tumor Nodus Metastasis, clinical group 2.
  • Blood diseases: acute leukemia (all forms), aplastic anemia, hemophilia.
  • Diseases of the circulatory system: acquired or congenital heart defects, cardiac rhythm and conduction disorders, chronic coronary heart disease (including coronary angioplasty and coronary bypass surgery with chronic aneurysm), heart failure, arterial diseases with damage to the great vessels requiring surgical intervention, and complicated forms of obliterating endarteritis.

It’s important to note that a mandatory funded component was integrated into Kyrgyzstan’s pension system back in 2010. The funded segment of the pension is established from compulsory insurance contributions, amounting to 2 percent of the income credited by the employer, paid by the insured individual to the State Accumulative Pension Fund (SAPF).
